“A Dollar to A Dollar” Matching of Grants Up to $1.5M
Hong Kong Arts Development Council Matching Fund Scheme (MFS), with an aim to provide incentives for small and medium arts organisations to explore diversified funding sources from non-government organisations for sustainable development and create a supportive environment for the arts and culture in the community, is now open for application. A matching grant of HK$30,000, up to a maximum amount of $1.5million, may be provided for carrying out quality arts projects in each financial year!
MFS supports projects of different art forms and facilitates the arts groups to take part in the Home Affairs Bureau’s Art Development Matching Grants Pilot Scheme where a dollar to a dollar matching is provided for commercial sponsorship and/or private donation pledged.
MFS accepts applications from the following groups:
(a) The arts groups currently receiving grants under the HKADC’s One-Year/ Two-Year/ Three- Year Grant Scheme; or
(b) The arts groups currently receiving grants under HKADC’s Project Grant, which are not included in (a) above. These Applicants should also be the charitable institutions and trusts of a public character which are exempt from tax under section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance (Cap 112); or
(c) Other arts groups not included in (a) and (b) above but with proven track record of promoting arts and culture in Hong Kong, led and managed by professional arts practitioners of reputation and recognition, with status of charitable institutions and trusts of a public character, which are exempt from tax under section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance (Cap 112).
Guide to Application and Application Form for the Matching Fund Scheme are available at the HKADC Administration Office (10/F, 1063 King’s Road, Quarry Bay, Hong Kong) or the HKADC website: www.hkadc.org.hk. Applications must be submitted to the HKADC Administration office on or before 3 October 2017 (Tuesday), 6pm. Applications submitted by post must be postmarked on or before the deadline. Late submission or submission by fax or email will not be processed.
