老虎象徵強壯、勇敢,中國民間流行手作布老虎贈予親友,以祝福他們平安健康,凡事趨吉避凶。

農曆新年將至,手作人楊思求教授製作軟陶老虎。軟陶是一種多色黏土,經過低溫烤製後可成形,並永久保存。動手做一對樣子可愛溫馴的軟陶老虎,既能增添節日氣氛,並為新一年帶來美好祝福。

時間:下午3時30分至5時30分
(工作坊完結後將立刻烤製定型,參加者可於一小時後領取製作品。)
地點:戲曲中心二樓排演室5

Traditional cloth tigers come in different colours and sizes. As the tiger is a symbol of power and protection from evil spirits, these popular folk art “toys” also make auspicious gifts.

With Lunar New Year approaching, handicraftsman Yang Siqiu guides you to create a pair of lucky “cloth tigers” using easy-to-use polymer clay – a multicoloured mouldable material that can be permanently be preserved with low-temperature baking. Join us for a fun, family workshop and create your own individual “cloth tiger”.

Date: 18 January 2020 (Saturday)
Time: 3:30pm-5:30pm
All works will be baked immediately after the workshop and will be ready for participants to collect at 6:30pm at Studio 5 in the Xiqu Centre.
